The Moore Community House Women in Construction Program is highlighted in a new case-based resource guide from the U.S. Department of Labor, "Advancing Opportunities for Women through Apprenticeship." From the report:
WinC is an innovative pre-apprenticeship training program that includes individualized case management and funding for childcare and transportation. The program prepares women to enter apprenticeships and careers in the skilled trades–a field not traditionally pursued by women while also providing the area’s construction and advanced manufacturing industries with qualified, entry-level workers.
