The Early Head Start Policy Council is made up of parents and community representatives.  This group meets on a monthly basis for about 1.5 hours to approve or disapprove EHS policies and procedures and employees hired to EHS.

The policy council is a link between the Parent Committee and the Moore Community House Governing Board.  The council ensures that EHS parents understand their rights, responsibilities, and opportunities within the EHS program.  The Council also plans, coordinates, and organizes program activities for parents, recruits volunteer services from parents, community residents, and organizations, and establishes and maintains procedures for working with Moore Community House to resolve community complaints about the program.  Policy council members serve for one year and can be re-elected for up to three terms.
